Rumor has it that Amazon loses money on every Kindle it sells, hoping to make it up in e-book sales.
Whether or not that’s true, you can’t deny the basic Kindle is a bargain.

I am hoping to win my first kindle in a contest.
But I do have a question. Must you purchase a wireless service to use the kindle or is the amazon ‘whispernet’ included with all kindles?
To phrase the question differently, are there any monthly costs associated with using a Kindle?
You can actually borrows books on libraries? Wow how I wish our library here has the same function. I love reading but I can’t keep bringing bulging books to school.
